Oct 5 - 9 / 2006. It was another excellent Thanksgiving weekend at Chipmunk Creek. We spend alot of time at the Chipmunk Creek Foresty site and were asked to be the host this weekend. An excellent time had by all. No wheeling this time, but lots of dirt biking. I showed the loop to 3 different groups of riders. I never get bored of doing the Chipmunk/Mt. Thurston loop. I have been asked to host the Remberence long weekend, so the camp grounds might be open.

Getting ready to leave.

Just did that loop for my first time Yesterday. Think I got turned around a few times. I made it too the second look out but we turned back there and went down some washed out FSR it was real tight ended up at chipmunk creek FSR. Maybe you could PM me some directions if you know of another route. Glad you had a good time. Maybe see you on the trails.[36]

Yeah, there is no lack of help, everyone takes a turn rotating the bird.... one drink limit per person.

Yes, you can do the loop in a small 4x4.

hOW LOng to cook the byrd that way?

It depends on the size of the bird.... This one was approx 12 lbs, smaller than what we usely roost. I think it took just over 2 Hrs.
