Thinking of getting these for the new jeep project

The only downside is the extra weight. About 90 extra pounds.

What do you guys think?

Here is write up on them

Well for the front my plan was to talk nicely to Darrel and see if he could build something.

I would like the front fender tied into bumper and the rock sliders.

What I am trying to do is build this so it can take a roll without a huge amount of damage.

I plan on abusing this Jeep as must as I can.

[stupid] if you want to play tough but dont want it to look like a crushed can at the end of the day, go with an exocage

I would way rather do something like that than an exo cage. 2 main reasons

1) exo is fugly

2) exo has pipes/tubes sticking out that get caught up on shit.

Armour like that will allow you to pivote right on your body without havign to worry about fucking it up like mine :D

Honky, what axles will you be running under your new rig ?

Honky
10-03-2006, 10:41 AM
The same as you....I think... waggy 44 front with alloy axles and detroit locker.

20 rear with the Detroit as well. made sense to me to stay 20 rear as my gears and locker will move over from the CJ5.

are you not driving the yellow jeep anymore???

Honky
10-03-2006, 01:57 PM
I am for now and the new jeep will just be a reincarnation for my old Jeep. Iím keeping the Motor, tranny, transfers case, tires, bumpers, hood, window, seats, and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.

The New jeep will be a TJ frame, yj body, CJ front clip with 6í long arm kit

The were $277 Usd each side

shit now it got me looking at their rock slidders

Jeep YJ/CJ w/TJ flare (Black Powdercoat) $427.00 usd for the pair.

The good thing about them is they fit together with the rear armor. I can get a locally made set for about $250.00
