We had some larger waves 7 1/2 to 12 foot between Vancouver Island and the Queen Charlotte Islands on our way up. We missed quite a storm very late Sunday evening early Monday morning as we had just sneaked into the Inside Passage. Same thing on the way home lots of seaweed and kelp floating all over the surface. I was walking around like I was drunk for both those days. Tryed getting one of the deck doors open to take some pics but couldn't even shoulder it open had to go the the other side of the ship and was able to squeeze open the door a bit. It was too wet to chance it so I didn't get any pics [16] [16]

Out of all the stops that we did Juneau was the best. It didn't matter which way you looked it was beautiful. Both my sister and I shopped till we dropped ...baseball hats $5-$8, sweatshirts $5-$10, tshirts $4-$7 and polar fleece jacket $8 ...fantastic prices. By the time we boarded the ship in Vancouver got settled in and down to the tour desk most of the good tours had already been booked, we'll be quicker next time!! :D

All it cost me was my spending money and a few new outfits. My Mom [d] and Dad [d] were talking about going on an Alaskan Cruise back in April. Next thing you know they have two extra tickets, one for myself and one for my sister! We all had such a blast, it was so relaxing and the food ( non-stop and endless ) was fantastic. Our cabins were very clean and comfy and "Mario" our stewart made sure our beds were turned down each evening with a chocolate on our pillow [36] I would do a cruise again in a heartbeat. I am pretty sure the ticket was $599.00 but then there are taxes, medical insurance and a few other charges. I know that next season there will be an additional $50.00 per head for an Alaskan Enviromental charge [16]

Awesome pictures , we are hoping to go up to ALaska in the next few years, thinking of driving it but looking at those pictures I'd rather cruise it plus I'm sure with the cost of gas our truck uses that the cruise would be cheaper

While we were in Haines one of the local yokels (driving a white Yota p/u) tries to pick my sister up with the line something like "hey are you new in town". He didn't have a clue that she was off one of the cruise ships. My sister said to him that he may have quite a drive to pick her up for the date. He said that he didn't mind and asked her address, you should of seen his face when she said Vancouver BC. Everyone had a good laugh in the end.
