I've still got my N too, but I don't see how that makes a difference. (had to renew the fuckin thing since I've had it over 5 yrs now). For me personally I find I drive better fell under more control with an standard. Both on and Offroad. I don't think I could handle driving a slush box and having a computer or whatever making the decisions for me.

all i know is how gutless the 1.3 in summers is and i can't imagine having a auto behind that..... even the 16 v with any size tire upgrade it will be hard to get tickets unless ur in a 50 kph zone ....

[stupid] Besides the control, fuel savings, and reduced brake wear, what happens if you distroy your torque converter on the trail? Check out "HyenufTV presents Dentedup VS Fuct" vid in 'events debriefing'. Hard to rescue your ride like Paul did if you have an auto.:D

when is the last time you destroyed a torque?...

honestly i ran the 16v with the 4 speed auto 5.13's and 31's. it was fine, it was really nice not having to slip the clutch trying to climb straight up a wall... i've driven up my fair share of street signs too.

going down a hill the 1st gear was nice not too slow but it held back alright. the low range needs improvement though.
