Our adventure then took us from the Okanogan to the Kootenays starting in Christina Lake. It is said to be the warmest lake in BC and was very nice after the weather in Manning. We rented a conoe and tried to fight the current and the power boats for 2 hours before giving up. The truck hit it's first 100 KM of our trip on the way and we weren't even half way there yet. The lake in the morning was calm and nice and after 2 days of honeymoon and days since the wedding we finally stared to relax. From there it was on to Nelson for a quick tourist stop, picture taking ice cream and leg stretching. On our way we went through New Denver where there is yet another great lake and one cool ass bed and breakest cottage thing going on. More pics will be added to this below.

We also stopped for a quick Portrait in Ainsworth. We were going to stay there origenally but I got us a sweet house in Nakusp for the Long Weekend and it was excellent. If you are ever in Nakusp I recomend a stay there, the rates are very very good.We took a trip up to the hot springs and they have a view like no other. There will be lot's more photo's from Nakusp to follow.

Nakusp is really a great little town and by the Sept long weekend it is a gosht town. Everything but the hot springs is within walking distance. We had fun being newly weds AND tourists. There are lot's of great places to shoot photo's like the long stairs down into the lake, and with all the flowers at our house and in the lake walk garden. The view out our window at our house was great too.

Lot's more scenery and lot's of sunsets, check out the oranges and dark colours from the forest fire smoke. We left Manning and Osoyoos 3 days before they started to cross over.We went for breakfast at the oldest hotel in nakusp which is The Leland. It is also the town muesem. The food is great and the view off the deck is outstanding.

We were off and out of town on the Monday. We went south to the free ferry at Needles and it was made down the street from my house in north Van which is cool.Sam popped up again and I gave him an ear pulling. From Needles which is only a ferry dock, we were on our way to Kelowna........ But thats another story. And it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Yeah something about having the wife dig me out or hike out on our Honeymoon kept me from doing any real exploring. I did mark a bunch of stuff down for the next trip. I wanna do it again with alot less pavement[36] [36] [36]

Nice trip you had! Could of had some incredible wheeling along the way!

And Christina Lake is the warmest because of all the locals who piss in it! [15]

The lake at New Denver is Slocan lake, and possibly the coldest lake in BC! Quite the opposite of Christina! :D
