Besides all kinds of other stuff I want to do a 2" body lift but use 2x3" od blocks. Would it be okay to weld the blocks to the frame mounts and what wall thickness would be best? I was going to use 2x2" but I checked the existing body mounts and they squish out more than 2 inches. I am going to use new body mounts probably the poly ones? Thanks....Joe....[cheers]

anything else I should be aware of greatly appreciated. :)

Shifters will be ok, I am running 2" body and 2.5" springs. Gas filler will be stretched but will still work. You will have to drop your rad the 2", to do this just get some 1/8 steel flat bar. As for the box section steel, not sure. I bought some 2.5" durlin and cut it to 2" drilled a 0.531 hole down the middle.

thanks, I could buy a kit I know but I want to use square tubing and new body mounts. I just want to know if it's okay to weld the tubing on, if it's gonna get me in shit. [cheers]

its ok if you do it right youll need to cut a large hole in the bottom so that your only bolting threw one wall

I've got the same set up as England, only I did mine first [f]

I think it's a better way to go than the lift kits w/ blocks.
Good luck.

lol saw that in richmond last year had to take a pic ...lol :)

his box was 3/16 .... wall i belive

and i think what skinky ment was that if u only do 2" it can be hard to get the bolt threw to the upper side ... so u need a larger hole in the frame perch and bottom of the box tube so u can go straight up at it ...... well maybe who know's w stinky .....[wako]

gooder luck bro [cheers] [cheers]
