And I'd like to make it out of something like 1/4", the badder the better for my poor alu 208. Where the heck do I go to get this? Is there some place around Abby I can walk in and buy it from?

Yeah this is DeeDee's old Cherokee...this thing was definetely not made for the bush, total factory armour is nada. How big is the one to mount to the crossmember? That would save a lot of work...got a pic and price??? [cheers]

go to your local recyling center they should have what you need for almost nothing

There's a recycling depot by my house...pretty sure all they get is garbage, beer bottles, and stolen aluminum though. Anybody heard of Metaltropolis?

Try Metal Supermarket. The Langley store would be closest to you. They can even cut it to size for you on their new shear.

It is behind Collossus.

Langley Metalmart/Civic Tool & Die is a better deal than Metal Supermart. They are at 113-20120 64th ave, 604-533-0723. Talk to Josh, tell him Grant sent ya. Better still is to try fab shops or trailer manufacturers, ya can prolly pick up stuff they consider scrap for cheap (or beer, if ya talk to the right person).
