View Full Version : 300-6 efi idling issues

So after a trip to Davis Lake yesterday, (I parked my truck on the main road a few KM in the start of the dirt road, anyone see it? [15] ) the truck is having real issues idling. It will start up, and right away it will start to die, but it wont completley die. After a few seconds of this, it will get up to a normal idle, but it wont stop, it will keep going up until the idle is really high, high enough that I can let the clutch out in first and not have to give it gas to go. It seems to drive fine other than that. (well except for the steering linkage that a stump claimed...AGAIN [27] )

Could it be a vacuum leak? Because I head a short hiss of air when I turn the truck off. The engine is a 92 300 six.

Thanks [cheers]

A vacuum leak is possible ,check the fuel pressure, could be a TPS nuttin that a code scan wont fix,Be a cheap place to start.
