So my friend wants to try out his new tires and lift kit we installed last night up sylvester road..

I suggested Davis because I havent been there yet and he says he knows where to go. I just want to know if we are modified enough, from what Ive heard there are deep ditches dug?

I am 1990 XJ on 31s, 5 inch lift, 8000lb winch
He is 1985 blazer 4 inch lift 33s

Both open diffs..

Will we make it?

We made it through no problem..

Found Davis, explored around and went down a steep decline into a sort of muddy pit.. went right and after while got to the water on the east side of stave..

I got to try out my winch pulling out my friend stuck to his frame on the beach..

Then someone started shooting in our direction so we got the hell out of there..

Fun times had by all..

i am totally lost up at davis, I went up for the first time on sunday, and again on monday. when you just get onto the dirt road, about 4k up there is a huge clear cut with a winding road down on the left. I took that down to the bottom where a tight trail starts weaving through the clear cut then ends in a sort of dead end. I thought that was the start of the trail to east stave, but I must be wrong. I also couldnt find the main entrance down to the lake. I am really confused up there [27]

Went too far dude.. once the paved syvester turns into dirt road, its only 3.5 kilometers, on the left side, your gonna have to do a U Turn to go down,. the start of the davis to stave trail is down there too.
