And the big question is WHY?
Last year I bought a 4Runner with a 4cyl thinking I would get great on gas. After a 4K rebuild, I got 12 mpg.
Sold the guttless , expensive to fix POS & bought a '93 full size Bronco with a 351W.
I get 15.5 MPG, lots of room & power.
I also have had a Ranger S/C 4x4 with the 2.8L & got about 12mpg, a Jeep Cher. with the 4 banger & got 18mpg.
My '85 F350 CC, 1 ton 4x4 on 35's with a 460 can kick ass & on propane is the cheapest veh I have to run.

Ive got a diesel 4banger Ranger 4x4, if u can find one of those grab it, the gas pot 4banger rangers get alright milage and u can turbo the 2.3L but otherwise they dont get much better milage then a 2.9 or 4.0L and have about half the power.
