I have a 89 4runner and i want to put the frame under a truck. Does anyone knnow if it is the same length as a 87 toyota extra cab short box

nope runner frame is shorter..... you need to shorten the box and make box mounts

I've got a friend that did the swap. He took a later 4Runner body (like an 89 or 90) and slapped it onto an '85 xTra cab frame. He had to swap out a few mounts and move a few things back but it's on there and it looks great.

the 84-89 runners are the same lenght as a regular cab short box.
the cab will fit but you have to move the rear cab mounts back (about 10 inches i think) as for the box , i would build a small deck
