so a buddy reved up my jeep last night then she died.... had a hard time starting it, and wen she started back up she knocked a bit. and wen i rev'er up it knocks more, sounded like it was coming from weir the engine meets the tranny. but i dunno could this be a pooched piston or wut.. any ideas anything happen to any of u like this.

Throwout bearing perhaps? but that still wouldn't explain the hard starting...

How did he actually get it to rev high enough to hurt the motor? The valves float so bad at high rpm on those engines that I don't think they can actually hurt themselves...
But, I've not exactly tried.
