I picked up new springs for my Cherokee. I need to borrow a spring compressor to put them in. Or if you know where I can rent them. I wanna get back wheeling.[cheers]

The idiot who owned it before me had F150 coils in the front, what measured at 14 1/2" and road like a tank. The Rubicon coils I picked up measured at 20" but dropped 4" with 16" now. What a big difference in the ride, plus I put Rubicon arms, new calipers, brakes and U joints. A big difference.

Undo the shocks at one end, unbolt the calipers and hang them from something other than the hose, you should get enough droop to pry the springs off their lower perch. You might have to "unwind" them past the snubber and steering for a bit, but you shouldn't need a spring compressor.

I dropped the whole front end to get the coils in.
