Not true.

The only jeeps allowed to drive without doors are CJ's & willys because they cam from the factory with doors as an option. Everthing else including YJ's & TJ's must legally have doors.

Apparently some cops will do easier on you if you a least mount some sde view mirrors on, but that really depends on the cop you get.

we asked about 10 cops now and they said since it came from the factory with the doors designed to be removed they are alllowed to be and you do not need to have the mirrors because they are on the door... I even had my cousin look it up in the Motor Vehicle Act(he is a lawyer)

it all depends how you interpret the MVA.

I remember a debate a couple years ago on bc4x4 in the rcmp forum and the cop there pointed out that it was illegal unless they were a factory option.

Also I belive the MVA states that you must have at least 2 rear view mirrors. Hence Jeep CJ's having them mounted to the body rather than the doors.

I drove my EB for years without doors (had the fiberglass roadster inserts) In 71 the bronco didn't come with the roadster option. never had a problem with cops just the shit kid in my old neibourhood stealing stuf from my bronco, little prick.
Had mirrors on the front fenders so it wasn't an issue...
I've said it before and I'll prolly say it again, Don't drive like an ass and you will get away with more stuff.
