within reason... shes my daily driver...

haha

if there is no reason for it (ie 4x4in) I would suggest leaving it as bigger tires will equate to more fuel and a lift just makes getting stuff in and out harder

but then again what do i know....i drive a nissan :D

First i would find out if it voids the warranty. Otherwise a 2" level kit and some boggers should do the trick.

kamloopsyota
08-03-2006, 10:25 PM
i know procomp has kits that dont void the warranty, lus you can get lifted fords off the lot now, so whatever they lfit with should be fine too right

PowerStroke
08-17-2006, 03:10 AM
i already did take it in the bush between hicks lake and deer lake.... covered it in mud and after all said and done.... i only scratched two rims...(minor)
and put some minor scratches in the paint on side panels and roof from going through bushes....

was it fun... yes.... will i do it again probably.... but it's still my baby....

bfg's are only an eight ply and too light for the truck. Make sure you get a 10ply load range e

I've run 'D' rated BFG Muds under my 7700# crewcab, and now under a 6000# Burb. They have lasted well. They are adequate IMO, however I haven't doen any towing with them. YMMV.

Haven't posted in a while... I was following this thread and thought... I gotta speak up here.

First off let me suggest NOT going higher that 6 inches...... Pointless.. looks kinda cool but pointless.. it throws EVERTHING out of whack. 6 inch lift with 36-38 inch tires will look good....

mine had 8 inch lift and is a tank to drive at times..... with a crew cab you don't need to go high to look good.. you are long and that adds to the effect of a small lift.

hope this helps

This is mine......Looks nice but they can be rolling headaches!!

nice truck! I would go for a 4-6" lift. 35"-37" tires look great! My next superduty will have a 8" lift, 37"toyos. I have seen a 2005 with a 6" and 37" tires but the tires were really close to the fenders at max turn. As a rule, i have always said that if u dont want to wheel it hard go for a 4", if u wheel it go for the 6". 35" tires seem to be the best bang for your buck.
cheers
