YUP! Finally after all these years of driving SBC's and wanting a big block, I picked up an awesome deal from my boss! '77 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4, 454, TH400, NP203  , 14 bolt, 10 bolt [16]. Can't have it all I guess, was hoping for a 60 up front!

So, does anyone know what needs to be changed to put a 205 in? Driveshafts? Is the input spline even the same? Not going to wheel it, that's what the quad is for, and eventually the XJ when I get some motivation! Just need a 3/4 ton 4x4 with lots of power for the sled deck in the winter, and quads in the summer! Even a NP208 would do for my purposes, anyone know what kind of swap that is?

Never been a fan of full time 4x4 Liz! I know there is a kit to make it part time, but if I do that, I will just put in a 205/208. For now though I will leave it as is. Probably put locking hubs in the front and run it in hi/lock.

Nykoma, I've been meaning to bring the camera to work all week. Good thing you reminded me! It's definitely an old mans truck. Clearance lights on the cab, BIG, I mean BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG mudflaps on the front, spare tire carrier bolted to the front bumper, etc, etc! After I take all that stuff off, it will look ok! Paint is faded bad, but then I won't have to worry about scratching it! [15]

Definitely keeping it! It still works, and it hasn't been retrofitted! :D Can't believe it hasn't leaked out all the R12! When it does, it will get the retrofit for sure.

K5, you beatin on the old Chevy so bad you gotta pull it off the road? :D

the ole girl takes everything i through at it, but its rusting out pretty good and i hate body work. might find a tub for it, or might just let it go. are u gonna use that truck to built up or just gut it?

I'm going to build another 2 place sled deck for it to haul the toys around this winter, now that I've got the power and 3/4 ton! Seriously considering making it a bush beater next year, 4" lift, cut fenders, put the 4.10' diffs I have laying around into it and beat on it heavily! When the truck gives up, I'll pull the big block for my '86 1/2 ton and put the 3.73 3/4ton diffs in it.
