i want a standard tranny for behind a 460, are they hard to find? also if i buy a 70s ford, will the frame mounts work for my 87?... i have more, ill ask in a bit

not only is trannyie available, but its a goodun. zf 5 speed. not too many sb zf's out there but bigblock and deisel i am pretty sure are the same and there everywhere[cheers] bont about about ur frame mount ?

460 + stick isn't too hard to find in the 80s/90s. Especially if you're looking at ex-fleet & work trucks.

Using these newer mounts is the easy way to put a 460 in a 70's 4x4.

The diesel and 460 b/h patterns are the same shape, but the bolt holes are off. :(

ok so can i just get a bellhousing to mount a zf to it? or do i need a bb zf trannny? and the mounts will work or?

hey dexter, i think i found one but it has a c6. do you know anyone with a big block zf? all i can find are small block ones.

how much are you finding the smallblock ones for?
if they are cheeap I might grab one incase I do a 408 stroker Cleveland motor for the Bronco
otherwise, like you I am looking for a BB one for behind the M motor
