a buddy in Kelowna just sold a '79 van with a good running 460 for $300[27]

Now I see it parked in the weeds. I'll find out this week end if the guy wants to sell.

how big is your wallet? can you afford to drive a big block? if you can swing a big block, then do it! if not, a well tuned small block can work nicely, look at f150hulk's truck go. it's just got a 302 with a nice exhaust really i think.

chevy power boy chevy power[f][f][f]................

ok ok ok if its going to be ford..[f] then at least but it on pane....and go big block...[51]

I have a 351 winsdor and it seems to have plenty of power for what it is(long tube Headers, intake carb etc ) I had my 300 six before and i loved it but this 351w seems to have a fair bit of torque. I think it should work well but i will need more miles on it and set it up on propane to truly form an accurate opinion.

allright barracuda, i just need to find one now, how much stuff will i have to change to go from a efi inline 6 to a carbed/ propane 351w?

07-15-2006, 12:34 PM
I'd go with a Fi 302, alot better gas mileage than the 351 and tons of aftermarket support.

07-15-2006, 07:22 PM
stay away from the efi pane and go carb on pane way simpler and way cheaper..........[51]

i dont like 5 litres, im gonna get mine working properly, then get another one carbed on propane

07-16-2006, 12:10 AM
5ltrs for the most part suck balls for torque, they are a short stroke high revving engine . I like them but i think there are better tools for the job when it come to a truck. I would take the 300-6 over a 302 in a truck application.

Been lootin parts of the single cab, he said new 460 in 98.
