View Full Version : Surface rust on diff removal

Best way to do it? Rust Mort? Whire wheel? Grinding Disk?

Going to tremclad it afterwards.

soak it in pickle juice for a week. then let dry in the sun with fishguts. get a wire brush with hot sauce on it and drink 3 beers and start scrubbing. when done watch chris farley dvd and get wire wheel out with oxo cubes on it and get it done. pour 6 gallons of paint thinner on it and let dry by the fish guts then paint. make sure you don't paint heavily on the drain,fill/lube parts.

if it is real bad clean it with some chemicals... like por 15 or eastwood has abunch of good stuff...oxisolv

now I have to find some mouse jizz. gots a source? I tried the dead hookers body on the corner of 1st and Murray, but she only got maggots. Maybe wait around till night time to get a full semen'd mouse?

just get some rustoleum and paint over it....

gonna get scratched a rusty soon anyway if you ever wheel it[f]

Took everything off the diff that didn't need to be there. Grinded off any extra hangers. Wire wheeled the whole diff and painted it with ArmorGuard Rust Paint. Looks f-in mint! Kristi should be pretty damn happy. Well I hope she will. [cheers]

Knock off the scale, powerwash and apply guator guard or another type bedliner material. If it works good on frames, why not axles?
