thats a trooper with 4:77s? must have been put in aftermarket. they are not stock ratio. amigos came with 4:77s ,only in the states, with the large tire package which were 31's stock. troopers only came with 4:55 in the zu corp 12 bolt.
GM never put axles under the isuzu trucks. the corp 10 & 12 bolt are isuzu corp. after 92 zu went with dana 44 rears with 4:10 in them.
stock troopers IFS have corp 10 in the front and 12 in the rear. the 10 bolt is comparable to the dana44 and the 12 bolt rear is as stout or stonger than ford 9". the ring gears are very haevy duty lots of meat. the axles are quite large. ive been told almost the size of a dana 60. with rolled splines and no taper before them. unless you are running huge power chances are youll never break it.
if you have taken the third member out you will see what i mean. its gotta weigh about 90 lbs

They are 4:77's stock from an 89 LS with the big tire package trooper.factory.in 89 they had 2 ratios one being the 4:77 and the other was a 4: 59 or something like that.
