trying to help some chick do a u joint on her 98 tj, got under there and its one of those fawkin cardin joints, anyone have any diagrams or illustrations on how these things come apart and do you need a kit to change just the ujoint? shes got the joint but thats it, is more needed or can i just put the cardin thing back together? the joint just has a little bit of play in it, but needs to be replaced eventually...

You can also get a centering ball kit from Lordco. It comes with the ball, the seal, the bearing inside the ball, and the spring. I think they were around $30. You should replace it if the H-body has some play.

if you press both out together it's easier I think what you got there is the same as in a f/s bronco front d/s and thats how I did mine and do the centering ball and bearing as well
