I have a buddy coming up form maple ridge today and has a bad starter so i told him we would replace it at my shop. sooo im asking the toyota guys what kind of job it is. It's a 94 3.0l auto. he said someone told him one of the motor mounts need's to be removed to get it off is this true??

is it a bad starter or is it just clicking...
usually from my experience it's just the 20buck's for the rebuild kit for it...
the 3.0's are pretty good aside from the contacts...

it is a pain in the ass if it has a body lift it makes it easyer , take off the front skid plate und you will have to use a realy long 3/8 extention and you can get at the sarter bolt from the front ,take off the tire and get ready to spend some time wiggling it out ,it is posable [cheers]

yea what they said, you can get the contacts from toyota dealership but usually you only need the one side. its easy to fix, but frusterating to remove and re-install. If you have a body lift over 2" you can just unbolt it and remove it from the wheel well.

re & re is fairly easy ...
in the passenger wheel well , there is a removable panel ..
makes removing the starter .. fairly easy :)
