$380usd plus $90 for UPS, seems they ignored my fervent request to ship by anyone BUT UPS

I can post images if anyone cares.

the purple theme has expanded some more, the tube nuts are all purple from the manufacturer.
they sure look prettier then stock lines.

What the hell were the boots and shoes doin in the back. Probably 10 pair. I expected to find a kitchen sink in there. I shoulda loaded it the other way. The motor didn't weigh any where as much as the shit in the back.

btw, why did you need that prop valve? one you had was toast ?

m j

UPS fee was $64cdn

I have weird braking issues so I am going to replace everything.
the rears lock up almost instantly.
the prop valve button that you are supposed to fawk with to bleed is siezed.

already have new rotors, calipers, pads, master, booster is here but I was waiting for the lines and prop to put it on.
the lines are FUBAR'd and there was a trailer brake thing plumbed into the system.

the new master got painted black with a PURPLE lid

ahh, sounds good. gonna be redoing my whole brake system too. gonna be going with an adjustable prop valve for the rears. gotta love disks :)

half way through the install now.
way easier then I expected.
I have to leave a bunch of the stainless lines out as the raybestos flex line comes with a length of steel hardline on it.
will have to swap out the raybestos stuff for something closer to stock to use all the stainless kit.
any back at it...

I decided to rebuild the rear drum brakes while I was doing the rest of the system.

what do you think?

nice drums ...[5][5][5][5][5]....

m j

I used a new stock prop valve from broncograveyard.com
works fine
with the stock siezed one it would lock the rears all the time so I am guessing the fords fail in the disc hold off valving as my Brothers truck does the same thing

ok Im dumb or just not understanding you used the stock prop valve with 4-wheel disc brakes?

cool mj... more purple pics please...

when I ordered it I was not going to put the discs on the rear.
once I ppulled the rears apart I could not put drums back on
so I took a bracket that I had cut for 14ff conversion and cut it up to fit the d60
the whole thing took about 3 hrs. the sun stays up after work in July long enough to get stuff done.

if you study the prop valve and look it up online you can find the parts you need to disable for proper disc function.
basically the hold off valve gets disabled as the rear discs react as fast as the fronts unlike drums that need a head start.
I changed nothing in the prop valve and it works fine enough.
if it displayed any annoying traits I would have ripped into it a bit

the only problem I have is the master is too small for the large 3/4 ton calipers in the front
the bigger masters route the brake lines to the opposite side.
I havent looked to see if there is a large bore master that swaps in place of the 1/2 ton stuff.
first application the pedal is a tad lower then I would like, if you give it a quick pump the second app is higher.

I havent done much to the truck lately but I will be doing a bunch in the drivetrain when (starting to wonder IF, Kyle) the Blackbox arrives.
I am sure I will find something to paint purple when I rebuild the transmission and transfercase and add new high angle drivelines.
