hey i got an after market tach given to me it has three wires going to it (red,green,black) im guessing red is power, black is ground, where does the green one go? anyone hooked one of these things up before?

negative side of your coil (green wire)

no no no ,the green wire hooks on to the exhaust manifold!!!
It tells you the rpm by the flow of gasses over the end of the wire ,just make sure ya dont damage the micro sensor on the end of that green wire.[cheers]
