make your own. other then that, steal the front hangers off of a similar truck. thats the way i am going and saves alot of work.

you guys dont put any support, like a bracket bolted to the bottom of the frame? and has anyone just cut the bottoms of the stuck ones and leave them like they are? read an article on ck5.com he said hes never had any problems. sounds too easy

cutting bottoms is not good. weakens the bracket sevearly.

no a bracket is not needed. here is a pic of what mine looks like

your just gonna use the 4 bolts?

06-20-2006, 08:39 PM
yup. its all that is in the front and was originally in the rear.

mines got the bracket underneath in the back but not the front. and my frame skinnies off as it moves back. by the front of the leafs its like 6 inches wide and 4 or 5 at the back of the leafs. i think id have to fab a bracket for the bottom otherwise there would be alot of leverage on that part of the frame...

if i remember right... KBB took the left side and swapped it with the right side... turned em upside down in the process.

not sure why he had to flip them left to right.

my frame also is smaller in the rear. just gonna redrill 2 holes and good to go.

one thing i forgot, is you need a brace between the framerails. the extra leverage sometimes screws with things.
