does anyoen know what type of rear axle this vehicle would have? its a dually and im wondering if that would be useable for my explorer for a rear axle (but only with a single set of tires on it) i have one in my back yard and my landlord sais if i get rid of the vehicle (ie bring it to a scrapper) i can have whatever parts off of it i want.

It would either be a dana 70 or a Sterling 10.25 depending on what year it is.

would they be any good to use on a solid axle swap for a ford explorer?

Might be a little big for an exploder. If you find out what year it is and post up the axle id numbers(should be on the door post) I should be able to figure out what it is and what gear ratio originally came in it.

Does your landlord want to get rid of it still? If so I could use some parts off it.
