So i picked up a custom roof rack (more like a safari rack) and the brackets that bolt to the rack and to the rain gutters are kinda fuked. old cracked and bent. i tried a few places to see if there is anything i can use instead but no luck so far, crappy tire had nothin, rack atack in coquitlam wanted $120 for some thule ones that were used and they probly wouldn't have worked anyway due to the size of the square tubing on the rack which is 1" i think

can anyone make something that will work or have some old parts that can be used..? thanks [cheers]

mount it through th roof. Probably be a lot stronger than those rain gutter mounts

there is no support in those roofs Arron. it has to be attached to the rain gutters

the rain gutter is a structual seam on thouse things due to the uni boady construction

i have no metal or anything to fab new mounts from. will check with to see if mikey can make some for me.

i have seen some of these racks mount to the existing roof rack rails on the roof but this rack is pretty heavy so i think it will have to be a rain gutter mount
