I have been looking at alot of toyota trucks why is the drive shaft in the rear turned around with the spline side facing the third member? [41]

that way if you extend past the slip then it aint gonna become a anchor...

there's a bit more clearance there, and the slip part can actually take a bit more of a rub than the thin tube the rest of the driveshaft's made out of.

another reason is some people use a double cardon jiont on the rear shaft....
