So I want to go lower, but do not want to change the axel gearing as 4:10's works well with my street tires.

I was thinking about a Klune-V.I was looking at the 2.7:1 under drive as the 4:1 would be stupid low! 1:1,2.7:1,4:1 and 10.8:1
Draw back: shorten rear drive shaft, extend the front drive shaft and modify the transfer case mount! Would lose 5-6 inches in rear drive shaft length. Currently the rear is 28 3/4 inch long.

Stak 3 spd 1:1, 3.08:1 and 5.44:1
Draw back: extend the rear drive shaft 2 inch or so and shorten the front.

Atlas 4 spd 1:1,2:1,2.72:1 and 5.44:1 or 1:1,2.72:1,3.8:1 and 10.34:1
Draw back: extend the rear drive shaft 2 inch or so and shorten the front.

Only plus to a full transfercase swap is getting a lttle longer rear drive shaft and the fact I could sell the factory T-case and recoup some of the cost!

Is anyone running a ROCK4BOX system that uses a 231 or 241 reduction box?? Seems like a cheap way to get an under drive. Draw back: shorten rear drive shaft, extend the front drive shaft and modify the transfer case mount! Would lose 6-7 inches in rear drive shaft length.
1:1,2.72:1,4:1 and 10.88:1
I seen them on the pirate boad. 399.00 usd and you supply the transfercase. (Requires a little welding.)

 Any thoughts???

Just run dual transfer cases way cheaper and more gear selection while driving[cheers]

Sorry I guess I should have been more specific eh!.
2005 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon
Currently it has a 6 spd with a 241.

The Atlas 4 spd 2850 usd
The Atlas 2 spd ??? not sure have not looked
The Stak 2 spd 1800 + usd
The Stak 3 spd 2650 usd
The Klune-V is 1750 usd
The Mad rooster conversion ????
The Box4rocks 399 usd

I am thinking of using a Box4rocks Kit. I just need to find a 231 Jeep case. The drive shaft mods should be 300-400$. The belly plate wont cost me anything except for powder coating. I may have to limit the rear axel drop. I'm using a 42* 1410 CV on the rear drive shaft that is about 29 long. The case will add 6 1/2" or so to the drive line. I'll lose maybe 5" in the drive shaft. (Just a guess)

I figure that the total cost for me to do this will be close to 1000.00 Can. This is the cheapest way I can figure out how to do this with out me having to design something myself.

I need the lower gearing if I plan to do some more rock crawling. I drove through a course and found myself riding the clutch a little more than I would have liked. And NO i don't want an auto. I would like to enter into a few comps and will be competing in Red Deer at the Off Road expo.

If money was no object than I would put in a 3 or 4 spd case.

Here are few few pic's of the rocks. Oh and it only has 4000 km's. The front axel u-joint( Factory) blew apart about 5 days after this trip. I put in some Alloy USA shafts with Longfield U Joints. This is why I need lower gearing!
