Couple questions...

-Will 35's fit my truck (90' toy p/u, reg cab) if i throw on a 3' body lift??

-If so its a 4cyl [27] so i'm probably gonna have to change the gears, what's my best option?

-Finally, would i just be better off sticking with a good set of 33's?

thanks for your help [cheers]

what are you talking about? 33's fit with a 2" body lift & no rubbing. Just need rims with some decent backspacing.

35's would be tight though, but I'm sure you could fit them if you massage the fenders with a sledge hammer a bit[redneck]

definitly would need gears. 4.88 or 5.29 would be best since you got the 4cyl

yup, as far as I know they are. Trev keeps telling me their sold, but I can never remember which of his friends they're sold to -- I'm pretty sure he said it was you that wanted them..? We'll figure it out[cheers]

Would be funny if you bought those tires from Dave considering he originally had these rims & tires[9] Then trev bought tht erims, then i got them off trev, and now the tires are gonna go back on them [freak]

I have 33's and a 3inch body lift and they fit fine, if you don't care to bring out the sawzall do it but 35's won't fit with out it

Big_Ern
06-14-2006, 04:34 PM
I think you could make them fit without cutting. Just need to hammer down the seam on the firewall/wheelwell

Murd0c
06-14-2006, 04:37 PM
ya they would fit for the road, but no flez what so ever off road, trust me on this I wanted to get 35's on mine with the 3" body but just went 33's. If you really want 35's save up and get a susp lift

Big_Ern
06-14-2006, 04:43 PM
flex?? he's got IFS aka It Flexes Shitty

also a susp lift won't let you fit any bigger tire than a 3" body lift, and the ifs lifts don't improve flex so there's no point wasting the money.

well if u don't care about flex go 35's but worn you speed bumps + will eat your tires

I roll on 36's and a 3" body lift I can do 120 on the freeway on the flat and about 100 on a up hill I offten head up the fraser canyon and its about 80 on the big hills,
I cut my flenders alot ,as its not a pritty truck, I only rub once in a while when on the rocks. but the ifs doesn't flex at all so the tires don't travell up wards too much, u can all so bash in the corner of the cab to clear up a bit more space when you do this make sure you take your computer off the wall on the passanger side.
If you are still open in the front I recomend welding it up or U will blow cv shafts all over the place.

I fit 32s hardly ever rubbed with no lift, I would go for a bodylift on an ifs before a susp. I wouldnt even call it a susp lift on an ifs since it does nothing that a bodylift wouldnt do

alright, the wheels are yours. They would be a good match for some 33x12.5 (or wider) tires. save you money and put a locker in the rear and you'll go way further than 35s and open diffs

yeah thats the plan, gonna run 33's then see if i can find a locker for a good price. when do you think i can come by and get those wheels? no worries if it takes awhile i know you guys are busy just pm me and let me know or talk to trev, thanks i really appriciate you hookin me up

for what its worth i have 2" body and run 33"s with no problem. flex isnt nothing to write home about but it sidehills awesome climbs up and over just about anything. its a soft comfortable ride on the stock suspension with shackles and .5" torsion. I rub my belly sometimes (due to long wheelbase more than anything probably) and thats the only thing that bothers me at all on my truck. all the research i did pointed to a detroit locker for me so thats what i got, although you since you have 4cyl aussie lockers www.offroadlockers.com (http://www.offroadlockers.com) i think would probably be fine. Ive never had any problems with cv joints or anything breaking.

I dont do any rock crawling or get too hardcore, although the truck does get a damn good workout.

i've still got my tires on them. But I'll be taking them off within the next week or so and we can figure something out then. Or if you want them sooner you're welcome to take them all to the tire store and have my tires taken off them when you get yours mounted[cheers]
