hey my back right wheel or side of axle has been grinding hard for the past little while and has become progressivly worse over time, it's not the wheel bearings. not sure what else i should be checking:confused: :confused: . any help will be appreciated!! thank you.

ah i think one of the problems is your wheel bearing.. it was moving a bit.. but there is also noise coming from sounds like the transfer case, hard to tell walking beside it...

guy in my class said possibly a rock stuck in the brakes??? the sound goes away when i put the brakes on?? u joint. thats what i thought in the beginning.. anyway to look at it and tell its f'd? thanks again

wheel bearing.

if it goesa away when you hit the brakes it's cuz the drum is being centered by the brake shoes.

k, he aint that sharp haha... i figured it was the wheel bearing, the wheel has a bit of play side to side not much though... but i guess it shouldnt really be any eh... ide say you could wiggle it about .5cm

onto the shaft. the inner race has to be pressed on. but the play in a fubar wheel bearing is between the inner and outer races. where the rollers are.

so the wheel that has the little bit of play... that means the bearings pooched yes or no?
