Should I?

I've got a ford HPD44 that I'd planned to narrow to run waggy shafts. I then planned to put adapters on my ford 8.8 rear to have matching bolt patterns.

Now, should I bother? Maybe I should just put the HPD44 back together and get another rear. Although, I ask what? Can I take my explorer disk brakes off the 8.8 and put it on a truck 8.8? The truck 8.8s are weaker though, no? Or should I just be getting a 60FF rear?

I'm also a little concerned that I will never get it to be street legal again. [!] on that.

Oh, it's the ranger 8.8s that are weaker. I think I can make this work.

Well, I could always get those blingin' bushwacker's cut out flares, yo.

Nah, if I exo the thing I can leave the tube out a little ways and put some sheetmetal between it and the fender I guess.

Okay, I'll jsut pray I don't get a VI.

Probably, I was there, then I left to get allan keys, then I was there, then I left to get allan keys, then I was there, then I got pissed off with how ford attaches their calipers and left.

I like how pick'n'pull only hires cute girls.

What were you driving? When I left there was a YJ on 33s in the parking lot that I was checking out. I assume that wasn't you?

Oh yeah, I plan to run 37s or maybe 38s when I kill these tires. And that might be fairly soon. Will a ford 9" rear hold up to that in my relatively light beast? Or an 8.8 for that matter?

Oh, things changed.

Gonna go narrow.

I bought a waggy D44 for donor parts.

I bought an isuzu 12B rear.

Now I need some HPD44 4.56s and misc stuff.

well then.... wait... can't you just run the waggy d44...? since they are both 6 bolts if i remember right.

Yeah, I could. But I'd have to get you to regear it anyways and it's LP. So I might as well cut up a perfectly good ford HPD44.

I just gotta track down some 4.56s now. At least, that should be what it is. I gotta drop the third out of my 'zusu rear tomorrow and count teeth.
