So I picked up "Betty" the rusty runner, she's an 85 with an 4" leaf lift, and a winch, rolling 33's.
I just replaced my tailgate, and broke the window in the old one to get it out of the way so I could change it[7] , now the new gate is much better shape, it has 2 hinges, lol. My question is....is there a secret to getting a window down? It went up and now it won't come down??? Is there a manual bypass if it is the motor? I would rather not break another window to run no roof, lol[5]

Could it be the switch? Motor shot? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ps, I've never even been in an old Runner, so I know nothing about them[16]
(or anything else for that matter[15] )

thanks[cheers]

Always broke

take the panel on the inside off.... that carpet thingy if your runner has one...... unplug the motor... get a battery and manualy put power to the motor.... that will tell you if the motor is good , then work your way back......

I read somewhere, you can weld a socket on a bolt and it becomes manual??? Anybody know if this work or which bolt that may be???

I bought this about 4 days agao with the line pinched off before the tee as the pass side line was brofe off at the drum. I have fixed that but have not unpinched the line yet as I haven't had time to do a bleed or replace the brakes. The front is squeekin' a bit so I bought new pads, shoes, cylinders just gotta put it all in.

Might be an idea to pick up a new flex line for the rear, some times they don't take to being pinched off, just a thought.

Can you tell me anything else about the truck? Brian was seriously busy gettin' ready to go up north again, I actually never met him, went and looked when he was out (he left me the key, etc..) and picked it up after he left. Didn't really get a chance to talk to him, mostly to Leah.
