does anyone know for shure about the land leagality of power lines right of ways? is it crown or privet land? hydro is a crown company still i think/ can we run under any undeveloped right of way under the lines?

That's how I understood it, but it's probably a sore subject so don't fuck with em too bad if they tell you to piss off if ya meet em up there...otherwise they might want to lock em up.

From what I have read Hydro leases the land to farmers and the like and yes they have the right to block public access.

HWA is right,most powerline clearings can be used by anybody,in some places the land has been leased but unless posted is still acssesable,the new laws regarding tresspasing actually let you tresspass even though signs say otherwise,there are exeptions,check out the gov.bc.ca website.
