my idea would be to roll it down the hill from the dump really fast and when you get to the intersection at beach ave, bail and see how far it goes in the lake

my T case was stuck to, after i broke the shifter bolts i took the linkage off, cleaned everthing, greased it, re-assembled and shifts like a dream. You may also have something bent in it. Like a shift fork.....

correct, we also dont have the front driveshaft in yet , could that be a possible problem?

could play a roll. did you check everything that everyone else said to check t case oil and the shift linkage? I never had any problems with it, besides it poping out because the seat was to far forward and hitting the shifter. but thats the oposite of your problem

pull all the linkage off the tcase and crawl under the truck and put it in manualy. try that out if it works then its your linkage
