years 90+ just which vintage is he looking to get? 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gen? I am assuming 2nd gen which is late 89-95'.
- These 4Runners came either 4 or 6 cyl. If I had to pick the better of the two, it would be the 4cyl. Way easier to work on, and they put out similar HP numbers in the real world. Not to mention way better on fuel.
- As for tranny/driveline. I wouldnt worry about it. It will be fine either way you go. (4cyl, or 6cyl)
- 35's on IFS... Now here could be a source of problems. I know many ppl have put big ass tires on the stock IFS, but keep in mind your asking a lot from it if you do so. Anyhow, with a 3" body lift, torque the T-bars, and some minor tin cutting you can fit 35's under it. The 35's will definately fit if you put in a IFS lift kit.
-Bad years between 90-94. Cant say that I know of any... Just that I believe the 90-91 years have the spare tire on the back, and that 92's were the last year of the 2 door 4Runners.
The TTORA site is the Toyota site of choice for info. http://tacomaterritory.com/
Any other questions? Just ask...
