bout as capable as any other open diff vehicle. id suggest a locker and it will be a hell of a lot more capable(depending on what you want it for)

want it just as a trail rig nothing fancy just bushbar winch roof rack and some lights

ive also been thinking about a 2 or 3 inch lift so ican fit 31s or 33s with cutout flares

or just going wiht 5in trailmaster and cut out flares alowing 35 but then shes gunna get real tippy

I've had one and IMO they suck.Stock with tires and cut the fenders and leave it at that, maybe a body lift but mine was 3 suspension 3 body and all i could get was 31's and man did it suck i used to get stuck if i went over a speed bump side ways.A locker would have helped.

my buddy has a 89 blazer 2wd but it has litimed slip, and it goes pretty good for a 2wd, and millhouse's blazer 4x4's dam good just have a heavy right foot and your get there

and buy a blazer with a 4.3L, not a gay 2.8L

i got an 89 blazer 4.3... best investmant ever also looking at trailmaster 5 already got a 3 inch body lift and 31's just be carful with drifting... it does some bad stuff to the rearend oh and its fuckin awsome at stave but i suggest a spool or somthing for the rear one of the cheapest trucks to work on, so many parts available adn very easy to work on

I knew a guy who had an 89, he did the SAS and a 10 inch lift with cut out fender flares and he only ran 33's. It was a sketchy home job though so he put it back to stock. He runs 31's at stock height now.

crank ur torsion bars and put bigger shackles and you can fit 31s or just put a body lift and you can fit 33s

Mine treated me pretty good, but left the factory with a rear posi, and 4.10 gears.
Although I'm looking into mounting the body on a full sized chassis that I'm getting in the next couple of days to eliminate the weak links. (the front end is the weak link)
