Ok, I just bought a D44 rear for my XJ and was goin to get a lokrite locker for it, but have heard bad things, any recomondations as to which locker to go with? I'm new to lockers so don't really know the pro and cons with air, cable or auto.. What about a spool? dunno..

first question is it a daily diver? if it is and money is not an issue I would reccomend a detroit, ive run em in the back in all my rigs including my 4runner. They are super strong and reliable.

If its just a wheelin rig I would look at a spool or have it welded properly [cheers]

Jim don't run a lock rite in the rear end they don't last for continuous duty for a rear end I would suggest the detroit locker they are proven and bullet proof, I run the detroit in the back of all my stuff.

And the winner is, Detroit, thats what I'll do, I got a chance to build myself a good rig so I wanna do it right. Now I just gotta find a d44 for the front if thats possible?

Thnx, [cheers]

The SJ waggy LPD44 seems to be one of the better avaliable candidates. Pretty near the right width. You'll have to run adapters on your rear, though.

The best news? Your local pick'n'pull will have 10+ of them, easy.

Detroit is the best,,,,,,,,,,,But if you want to go posi I have an auburn extreme duty posi for 4.10 gears and lower.
