Is that the valley behind Placer ? Where Cathedral lakes main trail up starts from?I cant think of what the river name that the valley gets its name from is!

yup thats the valley, where all the hippys go to white water raft [k]

would make a good long weekend trip, one nite camp up crater, one nite at placer lake? hmmmm

it looks like a pretty good road? (ie: no bushwhacking to get anywhere?)

Did ya see any Big Horn on your travels? Aperently theres a limitted entry draw in that area ! I havent checked the regs in the last few years but I know one that got the leh up there and got a nice one :)

never saw any bighorns on this trip, they did have signs saying watch out for them on the main road tho. my sister found a horn off one of the buggers once. I wonder how you could shoot one? they are usually on the side of a cliff way way up?
