I'm hooking up my timing computer, or what I think is a timing 'computer' of some form. One connector (four wires) goes to my distributor, a second connector APPEARS to go to the distributor (pink wire), and a third LONG wire, with a strange right angle plug(with a metal spring clip) goes..somewhere. Anyone know where that 'somewhere' is?
..I'll go outside and snap a picture of the connector real quick like.

That would be the knock sensor by the starter, and yah, that would be my guess with that extra long lead.

Chuck that dist, and get a normal, non-comp HEI dist to bolt in.

Really eh? What about when I put on a turbo running 30 PSI with 87 octane gas?

<Knock><Knock>
<Knock><Knock><Knock><Knock><Knock>

"Is someone at the door?"

Seriously though, I totally just drilled a hole in my firewall to put that wire through. Goddammit anyways.

Only 30 pounds boost? [f] :D

And hey, I think someone stole your shock, second pic.

Yeah, in that pic someone stole my shocks, springs, axle and replaced them with everything but new shocks and ubolts! BASTARDS!
