is it your fuel consumption or your gauge giving false readings?

04-12-2006, 11:28 PM
its his fuel consumption (im his brother), the gauge goes to full when its a full tank, and is empty when its empty, so im assuming its giving correct readings, unless it just shites out?? it is burning alot of blue, he was saying that someone in his class said it could be his piston rings are shot?

blue can be rings or vlave guides but i dont know suzi motors !

Didnt know they drank more thn their drivers -all the suzi drivers I know drink like little schoolgirls !So I figured it was the same for their -----"trucks"

hah drinking like schoolgirls is for..... well.... schoolgirls... we both drink our fair share haha, but the rings... is that a pretty difficult thing to fix? we arent the most... skilled... mechanics... ?

not much more then doing the rings on a Briggs and Stratton !

But if you are worried about it find someone to assist !

It my not be burning blue, it my be running so rich that smoke is excess fuel, and more like black. Is it carbed, or injected?

04-13-2006, 09:07 AM
it's carbed. it burns alot of blue when im out in the bush.. but other than that the blue is minimal.. comparatively speaking though of course.

Things to check, choke, float, power valve. If you run it through air care, thats a cheap diagnoses for the float and or power valve. Your co readings should be around 1%, If they are over 3% thats way rich, and why your going through so much gas.
