I have a 94 yj that has an 8.8 in it...has about 2.5 inches of lift and a 2 degree shim in the rear.. It vibrates moderatly....i am thinking of swapping in a 3 inch used trialmaster lift and then getting my driveshaft changed to a double u-joint at each end!!!!but do i have to get the slip yoke eliminator or is that just for being able to remove the shaft on the trail without losing fliud????I really dont want to buy a slip yoke b/c of the price and time messing around putting it in

To do a CV drive shaft ( the double u joint shaft ) you will need to do a slip yoke eliminator, that will give you the fixed yoke on the t case that you need to mount the CV drive shaft.

doesn't a SYE also shorten the tcase output a bit and give you a long driveshaft and thus better angles as well?

I was going to respond but I figured Nutbar would have it covered.

We should change it from "Jeep Talk" to "Ask Nutbar" [5]
