so i got the jeep fixed the other day, the butterfly valve thing wasn't open, so yah got that fixed, now the idle is so fucked jumping around all over... wut could that be.... i unplugged the vacume line that goes up on the fire wall and it idles pre good but i duno...

the flap chocke thing in the carb, but i dont think thats the problem i got vacume issues i think.

unpluging the vacume line lets in more air, more air makes run beter?, means to ritch, maybe buterfly valve thingy is staying closed blocking off air.

no it used to do that, this was not a vacume line on the carb i disconnected it was this yellow thingon the fire wall i unplugged theres 2 but i unplugged one and it runs ok.. wen i plug it in. the idle jumps all over dude...

dosnt mater wher the vacume line gos, a vacum line sucks air into the motor no mater wher it gos, if extra air smooths out your idle your air fuel ratio is no good try adjusting you a/f mixture

hmmm or plug those lines in and find the leak? doesnt it usually mean vacume leak wen the idle is fuckred..

ahhh thought you ment it idled better when you pulled the line off and just let it suck air, ya then vacume leak

it does run better wen i pulled the line off so i pluged both ends. and ya.........

You are having problems with the set up of the carb and timing with the computer controlled bullshit in your YJ the best thing to do is to rewire the ign module and and reset the carb without the cumputer plugged in to it there was a link to a website that had all the details in a another thread here but I can't remember which one I do it all the time here so I didn't need the link it involves wiring and a specific carb set up procedure I will see if I can find the thread.
