I need a new rag joint for my 81 steering box. All the local parts stores only appear to stock 'universal' rebuild kits - Anyone know where to get the entire unit?

Cool cool. I'm out on 272nd. The arm seems to reach, but it's tight. I don't like body lift either, but I needed mounts bad, and that's how they came off the truck, and lift is lift.

Minty. As for the universal kit - are these things pressed together or, ARE they actually rebuildable?

Replace that POS with a U-joint shaft out of an XJ. Pretty much a bolt in deal, and they're cheap in the yards. I got mine for $10...

if you have a body lift in a old chevy you have to drill out the plastic plugs that are in the shaft that goes from the colum to the box
