toys under a sammi is easy, the difference between the spring spacing on the 86-95 sammi and an early toy is about 1/4 inch per side. so you can put yj/cj springs in and longer shackles then just grind out the center pin hole 1/4 inch inwards each side, then shell out for a steering solution, such as aqualu steering arm, ott, sky high steer.. while you're at it, put power steering on the prick.

will do man... couldnt i simply just put on new perches and move them over 1/4 inch?? and by shell out for steering... how much are we talkin ballpark?

cheapin out is aqualu, 300 bones for the arm, then you gotta make up a new drag link. not much for that at all.
you could cut em off, but it's easier to grind instead..
it would cost a new set of u-bolts at about 8 bucks a pop, you'd need 8 of em, make some springs plates outta 1/4-3/8ths plate, ... cheap... nuts washers maybe 10 for everything.. drag link, dunno ask around for a deal.. if you buy new spring pads they're about 8 bucks at most trailer supply stores.. don't forget new rims, toys are 6 bolt.
oh btw.. 300 bucks? want some lube with that?
04-03-2006, 11:15 PM
its 300 for both larry, and josh ill make you whatever you need bro, just lemme know. spring perches are easy to make
04-03-2006, 11:19 PM
again, bring lube?
04-03-2006, 11:20 PM
how much should they be? with 5.29s?
04-03-2006, 11:52 PM
ah you never mentioned geared. normally for 4.10's honestly 200, 250 if they're in really good shape
the gears alone are almost 600.
04-04-2006, 12:40 AM
200, 250 for both??? im yet to see the front one alone for less thatn 250
04-04-2006, 01:02 AM
whos done a swap... and what did it cost you total?? ballpark
04-04-2006, 10:10 AM
it's usually 150 for a front, 100 for a rear
04-04-2006, 10:43 AM
ive called the wreckers to see if I could find any cheaper cheapest front axel was 250$ and rear was 150$....
04-04-2006, 11:42 AM
a wrecker.... you're kidding right? don't get axles from a wrecker. they will do you dry, there's always a ton for sale on the other site. or someone someone else knows will have a set, or know of a set. i paid 100 for a pair last time.
04-04-2006, 01:02 PM
im buyen em off greg (g-rizzle swank) not from the wrecker, i was just seeing if i could find some cheaper... know of anyone who would happen to have some for cheaper?
04-04-2006, 11:47 PM
