well seems i failed aircare yet again. the ONLY hilight was meeting a lady from fun in bc there (blue toy??) anyways just did a motor swap with a good low milage oned new o2 sensor fluids etc etc
my readings:
hydrocarbons max allow. .99 mine 1.3639
carbon monoxide max allow. 12.43 mine 45.1624 (thinking not good here)
oxides of nitrogen max allow 1.55 mine 2.3074

what would cause these readings??? im thinking the cat but would timing and distributor cause this as well? it has new cap and rotor but i didnt replace the complete shaft
any help would be great!!!

i see way too many numbers like that. 99% of the time it,s a cat. do yourself a favor though. don't put a cheep cat on it it'll only last one year or so. put a three way good quality cat on it. definetly worth the money.

The Cat may be in there but it probably isn't working any more like Matt said usually with readings like that it is usually the cat and check for intake/vacum leaks.[cheers]
