so i put one of those chrome air cleaners on my 87 yj, and its doesnt sit flat on top of the carb because of some hose thats there, is this a bad thing?

and also with the old and the new aircleaner wen i floor board it the jeep kinda bogs out cuts out ......................... need help ya'll appreciate it.

1st... your sucking dirty air into your carb if theres a gap between your carb and the air cleaner...

what is the hose? pcv? need more info...

and check your fuel filter for the answer to the bogging down question

I dont think its sucking in dirty air because its cover a big it just doesnt totally sit flat on top of the carb ill show u pics later, and as for the fuel filter thing thanx yo, ill check it.

well u should buy the air cleaner spacer so it does not sit on the hose .....and did u downsize on the size of the air cleaner.........starving for fuel or air..[5] u can but the spacers in different heights from lordco... and so on....[cheers]

ok i got a ? for whoever, wen i dicsonnected the old air cleaner assembly there wer a few vacume lines, well one i put a screw in and the other maybe it wasnt a vacume just a power hook up or something im not sure is this going to be a problem....

i didnt buy it for the chrome, i bought it for more air intake.

the amount of air the flow is way superior to a stock one and they capture more dirt then stock too......[cheers]

yea... let more air in by filtering it less. no. i'll keep my engine running thanks.

you have a vacuum leak. plug the lines that went to the old air cleaner.

Clean it regularly otherwise just like any other piece but never have to buy another if treated properly ......KnN i [5]
