Just ordered the brand new “3 link" form Rubicon Express

5.5" Long Arm Tri-Link Kit - Rubicon's new Long Arm Tri-Link Kit eliminates the rear track bar, allowing for true up/down wheel travel, while enhancing anti-squat for those steep climbs. On-road tracking is improved, and the kit is bolt-on for factory Dana 35 and Dana 44 rear ends

And sooooo the build begins

not yet soooooooo many things to collect.

But long story short it will be mounted to a TJ Frame with a JY Body and CJ front clip.

and of course it will stay Hwy center line yellow[36]

Why don't you just burn the $20K, it would technically be the same thing [f]

Honky
03-17-2006, 04:22 PM
Not after this Build I wont.

The way I look at it is I drive a piece of shit car . I need to buy a new but have decided to spend the money on building up a Jeep instead. For us it makes more sense to spend money on something that we use as a family. I will just continue to drive my [!] $400 beater and spend the money on something I can beat on! [36]

03-17-2006, 04:22 PM

For me I just like the look of a Jeep. I like the CJ5 the best and you don’t see too many around anymore but it’s getting really had to find parts. I have to look at a 10 year truck. The TJ is bigger and will fit my kids when they get older. Right now your knees hit your chest when you sit in the back seat of the CJ5.

I really don’t like the look of a Zuki to me they are a kids truck. I know very capable when you build them up and they work really well in tight trails even more then a Jeep.
I also don’t like the fact that you have to rub shoulder with your passenger.

Toy’s are ok but they are only a 2 seater and I just don’t see much character in them. I really like the 77 Ford Bronco but they are impossible to find and it would be a shame to smash them up in the tree’s.

Funny it must be a Canadian thing to drive a Zuki, go down to the state and they would laugh at you just as much as I do here.

And lets face it your really can’t compete with the “cool” factor of the old Jeeps

Jeepnut
03-17-2006, 04:47 PM

Honky

Dont have the space, tools and the skill. Not that I couldn’t learn as I go but going back to the first point I have no where to work on a project this big.

sucks to be me I'm sure it would save me a bundle.
