View Full Version : Cariboo Sledding!

03-16-2006, 09:09 AM
A friend took me mountain sledding for the first time ever last Saturday - WHAT A RUSH! I never imagined it would be so cool. We had 3 sleds and didn't see another person the whole day - it was pure virgin powder all the way.
The last pic is a couple of 'friends' that my daughter got me take for a ride.

Exactly! I've known this guy for a while and used to kid him about spending $10k + on a snowmobile you can only use 4-5 months a year, on weekends, etc...but now I do understand. It was like a religious experience.

It's in the Crooked Lake area, about 1.5 hours drive southeast of Williams Lake. For those that know the area, you go through the town of Horsefly and up Black Creek rd. I was told we were heading towards Eureka peak but didn't make it that far because someone...um..me..., didn't quite have enough talent to get up a particularly steep hill climb.

I don't know if I mentioned it in the original post but we were the only 3 sleds up there all day - all the tracks are ours.
