ok so what should it look like? i pulled all four off my donor motor and they all seem to have a little bit of wear to them, but this one in the pic looks the cleanest, pretty much flat, could i just take it to a belt sander and make it flat? oh yea and i replacing one that is making a ticking sound, it is set fine because i checked the gapings twice and it still makes the sound

they're only a coupel bucks each, why not replace them all?

Contact Slacker since you're close to him. He has some in stock. Or the dealer.

i was just thinking of using this one if it looks fine and not worrying about having to go buy another one

Oh ok, I missed the part about it being from a donor motor.

you'll notice the top of the valves are also dimpled. They should be flat as well if you want no noise

those are toast ... well maybe not toast , but they WILL make noise .

DO NOT take a sander to them ... you'll take all the hardening out ..and most likely ruen you motor ... just replace them with new ... dealer or me .

those adjusters retail/booklist (MSRP) @ 5.20 ea. some dealers 6.50 ea. .... and I can sell them to ya for 4.50 ea.
and then about a 1$ for mail .... of course there are taxes as well .
